Tuna and Pasta Bake

This tasty dish can be prepared in 10 minutes, cooked in 20 minutes and is full of flavour and nutrition. All the ingredients can be kept as store cupboard items giving you the flexibility to make this dish when unexpected guests arrive.

  • 500g/1lb penne pasta.
  • 1 jar The Real Irish Food Company Red Pepper and Garlic Sauce
  • 2 small tins Tuna Fish. This can be replaced by fresh fish such as cod or salmon if you have it available.
  • 100g/4oz breadcrumbs, these can be used from frozen
  • 75g/3 oz grated cheese, parmesan or cheddar

Turn the oven on to 170 degrees. Cook the pasta for half the recommended time and drain well. Mix half the jar of Red pepper and garlic sauce with the pasta to prevent it sticking. Drain the tins of tuna fish and turn out onto a dish, dividing into chunks. If using fresh fish, ensure that all the bones and skin have been removed and cut into chunks. Put half the pasta into an oven dish then add the chunks of tuna. Add the rest of the sauce and then the rest of the pasta. Mix the breadcrumbs and cheese together and cover the top of the pasta.
